Getting closer to walking

The day before Ike's first birthday he started standing and taking a few steps.  It is over a week later and we haven't make much progress, but he will be running in no time.

It's a party

Saturday the 20th we celebrated Ike turning one with family. Ike had a wonderful time and gave everyone a special treat by standing and walking a few feet without assistance.  He was more interested in eating the wrapping paper than opening presents, but once there were open they had his attention. 

We have learned that Ike is not a huge fan of sweets and the cake was no different.  He enjoyed playing in it, but if any got in his mouth he would make a funny face.

Goodnight Lucy

The last ten years our family has been so blessed to have such an amazing dog in our lives.  Lucy was loved by everyone who met her, and it is hard to imagine what life is going to be like without her.  Today I had to make the horrible decision to let her go.  I will miss her very, very much!

Today Denny went to Glenwood to run a 10K, and Ike and I went out to Highline lake to spend the morning with some family that was camping there for the weekend.  Ike had a wonderful time!

Time flies!

In one week our baby boy will be ONE!  This first year has just flown by.  That might have something to do with the fact that I hardly remember the first 4 months. (I was sooo tired!)  Tired or not this year has been amazing!

Yard Work

Daddy's Job - Fix yellow spots in the grass (the joys of having a dog).
Ikey's Job - Examine and move rocks.
Mommy's Job - Take pictures because I think eveything Ike does is sooo cute!
