Cousins!!! Together again!

It is that time of year again and we are loving every minute of it!
We made it into town Saturday evening.  Sunday we got up and headed to church with family, back to Grammie's house for lunch, and then we got the kids ready and headed to the town pool.  Bummer for us it is closed on Sunday!  So back to the house and time to get the pool ready for the yard.

The kids had a hard time waiting for us to get it all set up.  Jace gave Ike a few "squeeze the heck out of you" hugs.

Once it was ready they hopped right in and it was very cold! Kade tumbled off his tube and the chill took the wind right out of the poor guy.

David, Jody, Payton, and Elly came up for supper.  Via was so happy to have her girl cousins here for a bit.  They are years older than her but she does a good job bossing them around.  Payton was not going to go near the pool, but after she put Elly in David picked her up and and dumped her in.  It was pretty awesome.

Scooters and bikes entertain them for hours.

We tried the town pool again on Monday and it was open! Kids loved it.  All four went off the diving board.  Jace and Via jumped off on their own.  Kade and Ike had be lowered to the water by Grammie.

We load up like this many times during the day.

Ice Cream at the Cone Zone.

Jace and Kade spent two nights with us at Grammie's house while Ryan and Lindsay went on a little get away.  Bedtime stories with Grammie.

Shooting some hoops at the high school gym

Painting fun

Afternoon movie and popcorn break

All four in the four wheeler on the way to the park for badminton

Then we went to pick up limbs and branches at Ryan and Lindsay's house. A big wind storm blew threw town the afternoon before and took down some branches.

Trampoline time

Adan is the neighbors 12 year old and the kids think he is the coolest!  He rides his dirt bike back and forth all day and the kids "race" him on the wheels.  Adan will stop and play with them every once in awhile.

After 3 days and 2 nights Ryan and Lindsay were on their way to pick up the boys.  They missed their mom and dad, but were sad about leaving Ike and Via.  Good thing they will see each other in the morning.

Waller Family

Breean had a big surgery so she and her family have been in town.  Thankfully we were able to spend some time with her before she was off to the hospital.

Breean arrived very early Sunday, June 18th for a balloon ride.  I woke up the kids and had them dressed at 5 am before we found out it had been cancelled.  We found ourselves up early with no where to go. Breean was very sweet and let Olivia do an early morning fingernail painting session.

Ike and Denny had an afternoon of football planned so we went to Boulder and painted pottery.

I painted a dino piggy bank for Ike, Via painted a Pegasus (which she called "unicorn") piggy bank, and Breean painted a buddha. On Friday I was able to bring the Buddha to her hospital room to decorate it.

We had coffee, juice, and tea at the park.
Then we went to Bob and Julie's house for a Father's Day dinner.  Breean, Jim and kids all joined us.  While we were there we got the call that we could change the balloon ride for the following morning.  Sooo Monday morning was a bit dejavu.  Everyone up, ready and out the door by 520 am.  It was so worth it!

Keeping warm while we watch them get the balloons ready.

They are in the balloon!

They are in the sky!
Right after the balloon ride Denny headed off to work, Breean off to the hospital to go under the knife, and Ike and Via off to VBS.

For the rest of the week Ike and Via had Vacation Bible School in the moring and then played with Wyatt and Wiley in the afternoon. They all swam at our neighborhood pool, we went to Broomfield Bay, WOW Children's Museuem, and played outside a lot.  The kids all had a wonderful time and I enjoyed spending my afternoons with them.

In the mornings while the kids were at VBS I would go sit with Breean. The last few mornings I was able to go for little walks down the hall with her.

The day the kids and I headed to WY she was discharged and also heading back to the W.

Ike has been LOVING his remote control monster truck that Denny bought him.

Face painting at WOW.  The kids really missed WOW during the school year so we are making up for  that by spending a lot of time there this summer.
