Wyoming Christmas

 

For Olivia's first Christmas and Ike's third we traveled to Wyoming this year to spend it with the Julson family.  It is a long trip...one hour drive to Houston Airport (leaving our house at 3 a.m.),  2 1/2 hour flight to Denver, 1 hour flight to Billings and then a 2 hour drive to Grammie and Granpa's house.  It was about a 14 hour travel day with the Denver layover. We were all exhausted, but so happy to make it and spend the holiday with our family.  There was just a tiny bit of snow on the ground when we went to sleep on Chirstmas Eve, but woke up to a fresh 1" of snow for a white Wyoming Christmas.

Ike has the whole house to play in, but that little space that Olivia is using is the best spot and he needs to use it too.

I had about 2 seconds to get a picture with Ike and it didn't turn out but it is better than no picture at all.  Olivia was much more cooperative so I got one decent shot of her and Santa.

 

Our First Texas Thanksgiving

Nanna, Papa, Aunt Danielle and Krissy all traveled from Colorado to spend Thanksgiving with us in Texas.  We all loved the company and will miss everyone very much when they leave.

Olivia 2 Months

 

I can't believe how fast and slow the last two months have gone.  I already feel like Livy has been a part of our lives forever and it seems like yesterday we were in the hospital getting ready to meet her.  Yesterday she celebrated by watching the Denver Broncos play some football.  She rated the game...two eyelids shut.

Happy Halloween

This year Ike was a Dinosaur and Olivia was a football (it was Ike's costume at this age).  Olivia lasted about 1 minute her costume and Ike wanted his off after about 5 minutes.  We went to a few houses in our neighborhood then handed out candy in our driveway.  Ike is pretty shy around strangers so he didn't really like the trick or treating, but had no problem eating the candy.  He was much happier playing basketball in the driveway while we handed out candy.

 

This was our pre trick or treating supper.  Usually getting Ike to sit at the table and eat is a challenge, but with this on his plate he sat and ate and even had some seconds. He can't get enough when it comes to fruits and veggies.

Danielle, Krissy, Derek and Meg Visit

We had another wonderful weekend with family!  It is always so fun to have visitors, but so sad to say our goodbyes.  We love you all and are so thankful for the time we get to spend together.

Ryan, Lindsay and Jace Visit

We just spent a wonderful four days with Ryan, Lindsay and Jace.  We appreciated them coming all this way to see us and meet Olivia.  We love you guys and miss you already!

Jace LOVES babies and likes to give Olivia lots of kisses and hugs.  Lucky for him he will have his very own baby brother in less than three months.

October

October is off to a great start.  My friend Jayme came for a weekend to visit and it was so nice seeing her and getting some girl time.  We went and had a pedicure (something we used to do all the time in Colorado) and ate at a Japanese Hibachi restaurant (my first experience at one).  Thank you for a wonderful visit, Jayme!

 



On Monday night the Garmany family brought us a meal and spent a few hours visiting.  I wish I had taken a picture and that they could have stayed longer.  Ike loved playing with Sam and Ben!  Thank you for the meal and company!  We miss seeing all of you!


Denny and I celebrated 8 years of marriage on the 9th.  Denny brought home Mexican food and we put together Ike's new bike and let him ride it around the house.  Anniversaries aren't very exciting with a new baby, but we loved spending it with our babies!

 

 

I have been trying to catch Olivia smiling on camera for a couple weeks now.  It seems to be more difficult than one would think, but I did finally get two this morning.

 

 

 

With a new baby in the house of course she demands a lot of attention and last night she was fussing so Denny was walking around with her and Ike decided he needed some of Daddy-o attention too.  It feels like yesterday that we were bouncing around with Ike in the evenings while he fussed.  It feels like he turned into a two year old over night!
