Carrots are still Ike's favorite accessory / food, and can cure almost all grumpiness!

Wheeeere is the......OH THERE IT IS!!
Ike thinks that because he can't see what it on his head that it is a good hiding spot. He also thinks it is really funny when we ask Wheeeere is the carrot (or whatever might be in his little fro)? Then after and extensive search. OH THERE IT IS!! Ike or I grab the hidden treasure off his head.

Turtle stuck on his back
Yesterday I decided to put on Ike's Halloween costume to see if it would fit. It was handed down from the Garmany boys and is only 6-12 month size, but since Ike is a little peanut it still fits him. He fell backwards while it was on and it took him several tries to get back on his knees. I caught the last few attempts to roll himself over. I, of course, thought it was pretty funny!

2011 Adoption Update
It feels like just yesterday when all I could think about was an upcoming adoption. It is now approaching seven months since we finalized our adoption with Isaac, and now it's time to think about giving him a sibling. Things are pretty far along when it comes to the process, and many of you already know what is going on but for those of you who don't here it is:
Denny and I had always planned on starting the process again when Ike turned one, so the end of July I started the paperwork to get things moving. The day after I finished filling out the applications to get the process moving I got an email....
July 21~ Hope (Isaac's birth mother) sent me an email telling me that she was pregnant.
- I let her know that we were starting the process to adopt again and if she is considering adoption PLEASE think of us!
July 23~ Hope asks if we would consider adopting this baby if she chooses adoption again.
-Yes, Yes, Yes!!!
August 2~ We get a call from Heart and Soul Adoptions, Inc. They gave us the very exciting news that Hope HAS decided to place this baby with us!
-Excited and in shock...It all feels like a dream. Next thought of course is when is she due?
-December 25th! Wow! That is right around the corner and puts Ike and this baby 16 months apart! A little closer than we expected, but a true blessing!
August 18th~ Hope has an ultrasound and lets us know........ IT'S A BOYYYYYY!!!!
Please keep all of us in your thoughts and prayers.

Labor Day 2011~ Winter Park, CO
We had a wonderful holiday weekend up in the mountains with family. Denny's parents go to Winter Park every year at this time and we were happy to finally be able to join in on the fun.
This was the best picture we could get of the three of us. (Krissy, Ike's cousin, was busy playing and the best way to get Ike to smile is to have Krissy jumping up and down by the camera.)
Nana and Papa spent a few hours playing with Ike while Denny and I enjoyed the alpine slide with the Baird's.
Denny and I before our first go down the mountain.
Clint, Danielle, and Krissy
Danielle and Zan (Krissy's friend) heading up the chairlift and someone flying down the slide.
This mama turned the big 32! (Note: Krissy IS in the background jumping around)
For my birthday everyone entertained Ike at the pool for a couple of hours while I sat at the condo in silence and read a book. It was amazing!
We watched Uncle Clint and Papa fish. Then we had Ike hold the pole because it was cute.
I had a wonderful weekend with family and my sweet baby!
