Via’s First Volleyball Game

Via is do rec Volleyball for the first time ever this fall.  She did club Volleyball in the fall, but club does not do games at her age. The girls were really nervous today, but they did great.  They won 1 out of 3 games, but lost the match.

Coach Becky and her mini me/daughter Emery.

It was a first game ever for all of them and they learned so much.  I think we will see great improvement throughout the season.  Go Blue Dolphins!

Ike’s first X Country meet

Ike's first X Country meet was a success.  It was a mad dash to get to Sunset Golf Course in Longmont after school. Then to try and find parking!  That is not an easy task, but we made it and Ike, John and Max seemed to have a good time. Our school is a PK-8 so the 5th graders get to join the middle school team this year.

They are in there somewhere..

Ike was all smiles and super proud of himself.  He said he got butterflies in his stomach when we got there and saw all the people.

Enjoying a post run snack and gatorade.

I had to post Ike's time for his first official run ever.  It was about a 1.5 mile run.

Birthday Weekend

We had a busy few days for Via and I's birthday.  Via's birthday gift came a few days early so she was already a pro by the time her birthday came around. Thursday Grammie and Grandpa arrived. Friday the 3rd was a busy work/school day that also included the kids yearly pediatrician appointments.

Ike was due for his 11 yr old vaccinations and was one nervous kiddo! Via was being extra sweet.  She also got a shot (flu shot) so Ike wasn't alone.

Denny got a really delicious creme brûlée cake from a bakery in Denver.  I didn't even notice he switched the numbers.  He had to point it out.

Ike insisted on joining cross country at Soaring Heights this year.  I made sure he understood that all you do in cross county is run.  He is 1 week into the season and not loving it.  Denny has taken him for a couple morning runs and you would think Denny was taking him for drug free tooth extractions.

Saturday morning Grammie, Via and I got a pedicure.

Via wanted to go pick up crumbl cookies for her birthday dinner. Bill, Danielle and Krissy also came over and picked up our PF Chang's order that Via requested for dinner.  Via also had her buddy Grace over to hang out and have dinner and Cookies with us.

After two days of eating too many sweet to celebrate birthdays we took a lovely evening walk.

Sunday, Grammie and Grandpa headed out first thing in the morning.
Ike hung out with John. They played some video games and Denny took them to Sweets.

I took Via and Adley to Boulder.  We walked around a little outdoor festival.  They ate Kona ice and listened to music, made zucchini cars and raced them, and then we ate a late lunch at Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse.
