Christmas in Grand Junction

This year we spent Christmas in Grand Junction.  We stayed on Main St at the SpringHill Suites.  The kids got to swim in the evenings when we went back to the hotel.  We also got to visit with Jayme and her family, Debbie and Melvin, and The Garmany family.  We spent most of our time at Meg and Derek's house.  The kids LOVED spending time with their cousins.  Denny and I also enjoyed all the family/friend time!

The drive back to Denver was beautiful!  Via snapped a few pics for us.

Denny tested positive for COVID on Christmas when we got home.  I tested positive three days later on the 28th.  Ike tested positive on New Year's Eve. Bummer!!  Olivia was the only one that stayed healthy.

December

December has been busy!  Erie parade of lights was a lot of fun for the kids.  The weather had been so warm that it was not a bad year to go.

We took the kids to Disney on Ice at Ball arena.  Ike took Max and Via brought Adley along.  They all really enjoyed it.

For the second year in a row we went to the drive thru lights at Waterworld. It is such a fun evening and we all enjoy it!

I bought tickets for our family to go to The Lion King in November 2019.  Because of COVID and cancellations it took us two year to get there, but it was worth the wait!

Via and I had a little Christmas gathering with one of her friend groups.

Winter Park Thanksgiving 2021

First thing Thursday morning we went back to ski.  Ike decided not to go, but Olivia really wanted to do a chairlift run.  Denny and Via did one run.   Via did awesome the whole way and then right before the end she grabbed Denny and they both crashed.  It was mild but it was her first crash and she was NOT a happy camper.  That was the end of skiing for the day.

After skiing we went to Nanna and Papa's condo for the rest of the day and Thanksgiving meal.  We ate to much food and then all decided to go tubing.

This pic does not even kind of show how big this tubing hill was at Colorado Adventure Park.  It was really high and icy.

Thank goodness there was a campfire to keep warm by.  Most of us went down the hill once or twice.  Ike went 7 times and Via went 6.  It was fun, but SO cold!
