Winter Park Thanksgiving 2021

First thing Thursday morning we went back to ski.  Ike decided not to go, but Olivia really wanted to do a chairlift run.  Denny and Via did one run.   Via did awesome the whole way and then right before the end she grabbed Denny and they both crashed.  It was mild but it was her first crash and she was NOT a happy camper.  That was the end of skiing for the day.

After skiing we went to Nanna and Papa's condo for the rest of the day and Thanksgiving meal.  We ate to much food and then all decided to go tubing.

This pic does not even kind of show how big this tubing hill was at Colorado Adventure Park.  It was really high and icy.

Thank goodness there was a campfire to keep warm by.  Most of us went down the hill once or twice.  Ike went 7 times and Via went 6.  It was fun, but SO cold!

Kids First Time Skiing

 We decided to spend Thanksgiving in Winter Park this year.  Our first full day there, Wednesday the 24th, was the kids first experience skiing. They did a full day of lessons.  Ike and Via were not in the same group.  Ike took right to it and was going up the big chair lift by 1030 with his group and instructor.  Things started off a bit rocky for Via.  Her boots did not fit so we had to rent another pair.  Then the other pair were really hurting her legs so the instructor took her inside to fix her boots. Once we/they got the  boots to fit things went more smoothly. Her ski instructor was more cautions.  They did go on the hill to the right of the beginning hills, but not up the chairlift.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Denny, Breean, Ike, Via and I had a late night out.  We went out to eat in Denver and then off to watch Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Ball Arena.  This was the kids and Breean's first concert at Ball Arena. It didn't start until 8pm.  The kids are usually already in bed by this time so by about 10pm they struggled to stay awake.

November

 Via had been asking to spice up her hair with colorful dye.  After a few months I caved.  She LOVED the results!

November 6th was a big day.  Just a few days after the COVID vaccine was approved for their age group they got their first dose.

After getting their shots we headed to Brooklyn's which is right next to Ball Arena to eat lunch.  Then walked over to Ball Arena to watch a Nuggets game.

Ike headed back to Ball Arena with his friend Chase on Wed. Nov 10th to catch another nuggets game for Chase's birthday.  This time the boys made an appearance on the Jumbo screen. 

I decided to redo all of the small bedroom closets.

Via doesn't get to spend enough time with her BFF, Adley, at school apparently, so here they are during some after school shenanigans.

Ike is back on the court!  Ike had his first Basketball game in two years. He was extra excited!!
