Ike and John's 8th Birthday Party at Xtreme Challenge Arena

Ike and John have birthdays one day apart and this year they wanted to celebrate together.  We went all the way to Englewood but it was worth it!

Denny and Clarendon's job was to bump the kids as they ran by.

The birthday boys were the helpers for demonstrating all the activities. 

This place was not injury free. Talk about a great place to let the boys be boys activity.  I think about 8 out of 12 kids had some tears at least once!

The kids had a great workout! Time for pizza and cake.

The boys had some great gifts.  One of their gifts were water balloons and this warm afternoon was the perfect time to put them to good use.

Via is off to Kindergarten

Thursday, August16th:  Today started out very sad.  When waking up we heard the news that Shanann, Bella and Celeste Watts would not be coming home safely.  Amelia, Olivia's friend and our neighbor, was very good friends with Bella.  Amelia's mom Kristin was understandably having a very difficult morning so I took Amelia for the morning to hang out with Via and I.  

First stop was the dog park.  Oli needed some serious exercise because she was driving us all crazy.

Next....girls needed some pretty nails for their first day of school.  I joined in on the fun and had a pedi with them.

Pretty nails...Check. Donut....Check

Monkey Business to play with Theo....Check!

On the way to Monkey Business Amelia talked to Via about her birthday party that is going to be there in a few days and how excited she is about it. Via is also excited to go and celebrate with her.  Via asked what friends will be there.  Amelia listed them all off and Bella, of course, was on the list.  Hard not to shed some tears when an innocent 5 year old has no idea that her precious friend is now an angel and she will never get to see her again.

Next stop:  haircut/fancy hair!

Olivia's turn to meet her teacher.  She was really hoping for Mrs King and that is who she got!  Kinder meet and greet:

Friends.... neighbors......KINDERGARTENERS 

They are so excited waiting for the bus.  Via and Amelia have been at the bus stop for 2 YEARS watching their big brothers get on everyday.  Now it is finally their turn to get on with them.

This crazy mom jumped on real quick to get ONE more picture!

Then Denny and I jumped in my car and raced over to the school to beat the bus.  I wanted to see her ONE more time and make sure she got where she needed to be.

The girls stuck together the whole way and had big smiles on their faces.

Kylie and Via are in the same class, but they had to say goodbye to Amelia at the door because she has a different teacher this year.
