We are really loving the pool this summer. We have already spent many, many hours there and it has only been open one week. I am so thankful for the wonderful friends we have in the neighborhood that we get to spend our summers with.
When I see giant water chickens at Walmart it is hard to turn down.
The kids had a blast trying to stay on them.
Katie and I had to try them out too.
Down goes Katie!
Grammie is here!! I decided it was time to purge during the neighborhood yard sale. I asked mom to drive down and help us out and she did. Lucky us!!
They were very excited for their first yard sale. The first morning it took a few hours to get a customer and they were getting a bit impatient. Thankfully there were plenty of neighborhood kids running around for them to play with.
I was so excited to get rid of so many toys. I was also very proud of the kids willingness to sell them. We told them if they did well they would be able to buy something they would really love.
After a good first day of selling the kids enjoyed some water balloon launching.
After clean up there was a little party in the back of Colin's truck.
Yard sale day two.... painting and drawing to keep them entertained.
Grammie off to check on other sales. The kids coming back after buying lemonade at a friends lemonade stand. The kids friends were some of our best customers.
Boy was this a happy boy! He was able to buy a Nintendo Switch with his saved money, yard sale money, and a little help from dad's wallet.
This girl was able to buy the closest thing to a real phone she has ever had (with all her own money). She has wanted a phone since she could talk. Today she felt like it came true. She can't make calls but she can text me. And she thinks that is wonderful! I think she sent me 20 texts today.
Then it was the neighborhood start of summer party. Great way to end an awesome few days with Grammie.
