24 hours without kids... A wedding and running Oli

Waiting for Denny to get ready.... We are heading to Jaala and Jim's wedding and reception in Denver.  Denny works with Jim at Jonah.

Wedding is over. Now we are heading to the reception.

Denny wanted me to check out the trail where he runs Oli.  Denny and Olive ran and I leisurely biked along.  It was a beautiful summer morning.

Dog Parks, Summer Camp, Dinner Dates, & Pool

We have to get up in the morning and get Oli to the dog park before the sun gets to hot. I have to wake the kids up most mornings, but Oli will drive us all crazy if we don't get her some exercise.

This is Oli and Chaco! They are BFFs.  When Oli sees Chaco she takes on in a sprint and the two will run and wrestle together until they are to tired to move.  It works our great for me!

I also took Oli to the lake for the first time.  She loves the water but it took a few attempts before she was ready to swim.  There were several dogs there swimming so that really encouraged her along.  Our summer is definitely busier with a dog!

Via had two weeks of camp at WeeSchool where she went to Preschool.  Week one theme: Space

Cute!

Week two:  Ike had lego camp this week.  He loved building all week.

Week two theme for Via was Eric Carle

Denny and I have enjoyed several dinner dates with our babies.  This evening we went to The Post in Lafayette.  Via was all dressed up and beautiful.

Our precious Ike Always has his nose in a book!  This sweet boy LOVES to read.

A lot of adventures at the pool.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

Our first ever summer of baseball is here and it is adorable!  Mondays nights Via has tee ball games and she had the best time.

She hit the ball after a couple tries and made it to first base.

Running to home plate!

Via at her first tee ball practice. She is on a team with several of her Preschool buddies.

Thursday nights Ike has coach pitch baseball.  He was so nervous because there were going to be so many people watching and he was worried he might run the wrong way. He did awesome though and his first time at bat he hit the ball first try and fell in love.  He had a blast and can't wait for next week.

He made it to home with a smile from ear to ear.

Really LOVING Summer

We are really loving the pool this summer. We have already spent many, many hours there and it has only been open one week. I am so thankful for the wonderful friends we have in the neighborhood that we get to spend our summers with.

When I see giant water chickens at Walmart it is hard to turn down.

The kids had a blast trying to stay on them.

Katie and I had to try them out too.

Down goes Katie!

Grammie is here!! I decided it was time to purge during the neighborhood yard sale. I asked mom to drive down and help us out and she did. Lucky us!!

They were very excited for their first yard sale.  The first morning it took a few hours to get a customer and they were getting a bit impatient. Thankfully there were plenty of neighborhood kids running around for them to play with.

I was so excited to get rid of so many toys. I was also very proud of the kids willingness to sell them.  We told them if they did well they would be able to buy something they would really love.

After a good first day of selling the kids enjoyed some water balloon launching.

After clean up there was a little party in the back of Colin's truck.

Yard sale day two.... painting and drawing to keep them entertained.

Grammie off to check on other sales. The kids coming back after buying lemonade at a friends lemonade stand.  The kids friends were some of our best customers.

Boy was this a happy boy! He was able to buy a Nintendo Switch with his saved money, yard sale money, and a little help from dad's wallet.

This girl was able to buy the closest thing to a real phone she has ever had (with all her own money).  She has wanted a phone since she could talk.  Today she felt like it came true. She can't make calls but she can text me. And she thinks that is wonderful! I think she sent me 20 texts today.

Then it was the neighborhood start of summer party. Great way to end an awesome few days with Grammie.
