Happy TWO-sday 2-22-22

Today was an exciting day for us! It is TWO-sday 2-22-22. It was dress up in a tutu, tie and tye-dye. Ike took off the tie and tutu before we left the house because he said it was embarrassing! It was also the first time since March 12, 2020 that we all got to go to school without masks. Very exciting!

Weekend at Broadmoor/Camp Elim

After safely getting back to The Broadmoor after dropping the kids off I was able to appreciate the beauty of a snowy night.

Saturday morning Denny and I wanted to check out the Manitou Incline.  Denny had spikes for his shoes and was able to make it to the top in 34 minutes.  I did not have spikes and my knees hate steps so I only went up a few hundred steps and carefully walked back down.

We dropped the kids off Friday evening at 7pm in a snowstorm.  I was in a hurry to get back on the road and back to our hotel because it was not good driving conditions, so I didn't get any pictures at drop-off.  I found a couple of pictures of the kids at camp on Camp Elim's Facebook page and took a couple of pictures when we picked the kids up.

Avalanche & Mammoth

This year we have already been to an Avalanche game and a Mammoth game.  We all really enjoyed both. This was the first Lacrosse game for all four of us and it was a lot more fun than expected.  Ike had been asking to go for a few months.  I'm glad he talked all of us into it.

Ike really wanted a Mammoth jersey and he has not taken it off since he got it last night.

Basketball, Volleyball & Archery

Ike's basketball team wrapped up their basketball season.  After having to miss it last year due to COVID he really enjoyed it this year!

Emery, Grace and Via are doing their second winter/spring at Alpine Volleyball Academy. Becky, Elizabeth and I love it too because we go out for dinner every Friday while they are at practice.

Ike and John wanted to do a few archery classes again this year.  They did a great job!

Sleepovers

The was a lot of kiddos under our roof, but they all had a great time!  Grace, Trinity and I went for a pedicure, then out to dinner at Road House. Then the girls watch a movie and at popcorn until the boys got back home.

Denny, John, Ike and Max went to a Nuggets game at Ball Arena.  Then they all came back to our house and kids went to bed around 10 or so.  Once the boys stopped bugging the girls.

A couple weeks later Via wanted Nyla to stay the night.  They spent the day at our house and then we went to a classmate Wesley's bday party.  We watched Sing 2 and it was adorable!  They girls planned to pull and all nighter. I thought they wouldn't last until midnight.  I woke up at 1a.m. and they were up doing each others hair!  I finally made them go to bed at 2:15!  That was a late one.
