Ike and I made it to Basin just in time for Lilac Days this year. I'm not sure that I have ever been so we wanted to go check it out. Mom, Ike, Lindsay, Ryan, Jace and I all walked down to spend a few hours at the park. I knew there was a baby contest, but I thought I would in the clear and Lindsay would have to do it because it is only for local babies. Well, when we got there they needed more babies to enter and of course Grammie was more than happy to enter both Ike and Jace. I was a touch less than excited! The contest kicked off at 1pm (right at nap time!), and right as they called Ike's name he puked on his shirt. So I have a tired, pukey baby that I have to walk in front of the judges. F-U-N! After I saw they took our picture I thought for sure it wouldn't be used in the paper. I don't know where I pulled a smile from because I was not feeling all smiley at the time. So Ike cried through the whole thing and walked away with "most bashful". I guess the didn't have a "cranky pants" category. Jace was all sweet and sleepy through the whole thing and came out as "most cuddly".

Oh memories!
Denny has always enjoyed reading the Basin paper. When you're not from a small town a small town newspaper can really provide some entertainment. Denny just loves that his baby boy made the Basin paper on his first visit.
FYI: I have NO idea why thay put Tanya Vigil and Isaac Myers. Who knows??!
