May/June 2012 = Craziness

We have been so busy and time is just flying by, so it is about time I do a blog update!

First, here is a picture of my sweet Ike and I on Mother's Day.

Next, this picture is me on 5/18/2012 ~ 23 weeks.  I am now 26 weeks and will try to get around to taking another picture soon.

Denny, Ike and I went to Gateway, CO to get away for an evening.  We stayed at the resort there and it was absolutely beautiful!  I manage to only take three photos.  Here they are...

The view from our door and the patio for our room

Ike peaking out from behind the pillows.  He doesn't want to get up yet because getting up means no more binky.

Ike drinking his morning OJ.
I can't believe I didn't manage to take one picture from outside our room.  Apparently I was to lazy to carry around the camera.

It may not be football season, but Denny still has football on the brain and bought Ike this adorable Jersey for the upcoming season.

May 15th we put our house on the market and what a pain that is!  Keeping it clean all the time is so much work with a toddler and a husband (I kid honey- kinda)!  Denny did a wonderful job getting the outside of the house in mint condition.  We had showings almost daily then did a big price reduction on Friday June 1st and had two offers by Monday June 4th.  The house is now under contract and it looks like we need to be out of here by the end of the month.  It is very bittersweet.  This is our first home and the home we brought Ike home too, but we are also excited to look for a house in Texas and get all settled in there.

Denny is already starting life in the hot and humid city of Houston.  His last day with Oxy was May 18th.  He spent a few weeks with Ike and I then on June 1st he and his cousin Tyler filled Denny's car to the brim and off the drove.  It was about a 1200 mile trek and they went through a pretty bad hail storm that did about 4,000 dollars in damage to the Audi (ouch!).  It broke the windshield (which was replaced about two weeks ago) and put pretty little dots all over the car.  No worries though because they made it safe and sound.

Denny started his new job with Statoil on the 4th of June and really enjoyed his first week.  He will begin the hunt for a house tomorrow.  Ike and I will be joining him in Houston on June 23rd and we look forward to seeing the city we will soon call home.

There is still much more to come this month and so much to do.  This summer is just going to fly by and we will be living in Texas with Ike and Olivia in no time!
