Baby Names

As most of you know I have been a "mom in training" for about 2 1/2 years. I am a nanny for two amazing little boys. Sam will be 4 in Feb. and Ben will be 2 in March. Yesterday I was talking to Sam about what Denny and I should name the future baby Vigil. I told him the boy name, the ONLY boy name, that Denny and I both like. Sam, without hesitation, told me that he did not like it. Okay Sam what do you think we should name a boy I asked? Sam looked right at me and replied "Easy". What? Easy I asked him and he said yes. Then he said - and if you have a girl will you please name her "Rover". Yikes! It looks like Denny and I will not be getting much help from my little buddy Sam when it comes to naming baby Vigil. This converstaion came after Sam told me that he named his stuffed animal dog Ralph. I do not like the name Ralph at all and it has been the boy name that Denny always says he wants just because he knows I am not a fan of it. Denny will probably side with Sam on this one and want to name a son Easy.

A Journey of Love

I have started this blog to keep you up to date and as a memory for us about our journey to become parents. 2010 is a new year and we expect wonderful things to happen and our family to grow. Denny and I have decided to become parents through adoption. Right now we have completed a lot of paperwork and we are waiting for our fingerprints to come back so we can move forward with the home study process. We are so excited about this and I want to share our experience with everyone. My hope is that very soon this blog will change from talking about us and adoption to talking about our child and our new family.
