A Very Happy Halloween - 2017

We started celebrating on Saturday, October 28th.  We went trick or treating at Sports Authority.  We had the chance to walk all over Mile High.  We went through locker rooms, out on the field, and much more!

Last stop at Mile High was a picture with the Super Bowl trophies.

Today, Halloween, was busy!  Up and ready for all the fun.  Ike and Via before Ike took the bus to school.

After dropping Ike at the bus Olivia went to Mini Monster Bash at the Erie Rec Center.

Then we went and had some pizza for lunch before Via headed to preschool.

Then it was Olivia's classroom party.  Here she is with her teacher Ms. Melissa.

Via and I had to skip out of her classroom party a few minutes early and get to Ike's class.  Here they are with Ike's teacher Mrs. Beamer.  I am Ike's classroom mom so it was my job to plan and run he class party.  Thankfully it went very well.

Pumpkin bowling

Next was a little party at our neighborhood clubhouse.  Ike's buddy John was home sick so we were lucky to have Grace join us for the evening.

After the clubhouse party it was time for the most exciting part!  Trick or treating!  Nanna, Papa and Denny also joined us.

First house

The kids literally ran and smiled the whole time!  They had so much fun and it was wonderful to watch the joy beaming from them.

It didn't take long before all the trick or treat bags were overflowing so I had to use the hoods of their coats for the overflow.  SO. MUCH. CANDY!

AVID4 and Theo

Erie Elementary had a program this week called AVID4. The kids had a whole day of outdoor activities at their school.  They rock climbed, mountain biked, learned how to kayak, and did a classroom skit.  Ike and his class were outside all day Tuesday doing these things. On Wednesday I picked him up from school so he could do it again and Olivia could try it out.

Even Trin wanted a go at the rock wall!  This two year old is up for everything!

Ike and Tanner on the move.  Ike is tooooo cautious to get anywhere near the top.

Via was very serious when it was her turn.  She didn't go very high either but was very proud of herself.

Grace and Olivia

Ike offered to take Trinity with him and at one point he had me laughing so hard I couldn't even help him out!  Every time Trin would lean to one side Ike would start getting very worried.  Then she would lean back against him as hard as she could.  Ike just kept say WOOAH Trin!

Via and Theo.....  They are two of the few siblings remaining at the bus stop when the big kids get on the bus and head to school.  A friendship has formed.  They love heading to my house after bus drop off and have been starting to spend a lot of time together.  It seems pretty normal for me to have two little people around, so I am also enjoying it. Theo is all boy and all 3 and Via is what I imagine a preteen girl to be, so they have some battles but overall they enjoy each other.

At Monday morning Art class.

In our yard after our first snow of the year a few weeks ago.

Via and Theo waiting for their Wednesday morning tumbling/ninja class to start. Their coach doing some tricks before class starts.

Yesterday I called Katie (Theo's mom) to see if Theo could come over.  Via didn't have school for the afternoon and she was being more difficult than usual.  I needed a distraction and Theo worked out perfect.

They ran to the door when they realized it had started snowing.

Crafting

All good things can't last forever.....  Theo decided he wanted to go home so Via and I walked him a short block away.  When we got there of course Via wanted to stay for a bit.  They had a popsicle and both went a bit bananas.  We thought it might improve with a car ride to the bus stop but that was also crazy.  Last night was one of those nights I couldn't wait for my girl to go to bed.

This morning we scooped Theo up and went to WOW.

There were a few new exhibits and a free music class today.

Making bubbles

I'm sure these two will have many more adventures this year.

Fun fall four day weekend with friends and family

Friday we went to a new (to us) park in Niwot.  It was a beautiful fall day and a fun park.  The kids had so much fun that we were there for 4 hours.

Saturday was Soccer, Football, and Ike had a classmates birthday party.  It was a very windy day so we were happy to be inside and relaxing that evening.

Sunday was a family day.  First we went to visit Denny's office.  I had never been and this was only the second time for the kids.  It was fun to see where he works and the kids love going up into the big building.

Next, we went to Washington park.  The kids ran and played on the playground. Then we decided to rent one of these family pedaling contraptions.  The kids couldn't even touch the pedals so they were dead wait and Denny and I had much more of a workout that we anticipated.  It looked so easy!  We pedaled and laughed and had so much fun!

The last part of our day was celebrating our adorable nephew Rafa.  I can't believe he is 2 already!

Monday we were off to explore another park we had not visited yet.  This park in Lyons was so much fun, and on such a beautiful fall day I am thankful we went.  I also loved having the Tates and Dolezals there.
