Today Ike has one less tooth

We ended 2015 with a bang at our house.....Ike lost his first tooth.  I have been checking to see if his bottom front teeth are loose regularly for a few months now because his bottom adult tooth has already come in.  We had an appointment with the dentist to have it pulled mid January, but it finally came out on its own.  Now I hope the adult tooth starts to move forward into the correct position.

Ike proudly holding his tooth.

There was a bit of dramatics involved but overall he did awesome.  We just wiggled it back at fourth several times in between tugs and then it just popped out!

Now it is time for the tooth fairy.

Thankfully, Ike has no concept of money at this point because the only cash we had was a $20.  I hope to be a bit better prepared for the next tooth because $20 per tooth for two kids will get to be pricey.  Ike thinks Walgreens is almost as cool as a toy store (thank you Danielle) so that is where we will be heading tomorrow.

Grand Junction Christmas 2015

Before we all headed to Grand Junction we had one evening at our house with Ryan, Lindsay, Jace and Kade.

It was a beautiful drive over the mountain.

Baby Rafa is getting so big!

We spend one morning at the Children's Nature Center in Fruita.

Nanna baked cookies with the grandkids.

Olivia was super bossy and controlling in the Kitchen.

Ike quickly stopped the baking process and made himself a drum.

We spend a morning with the Kyles.  Jayme made us a yummy breakfast and we hung out while the kids played.

My bud!

Christmas Eve party.

Christmas morning.

Wilson and Olivia were tired after all the present opening.

Grammie sent cool new travel bags for the kids for our upcoming Texas trip.

Wee School Preschool Christmas Party

Today we all went to Ike's preschool Christmas party.  It was perfect that it was on a Saturday so Denny could join us!  I tried to get a picture with the kids before we went.  That is always loads of work! Once at the party we put together our best attempt at a gingerbread house/yard.  The kids liked eating the supplies as much as building.  Then all the kids sang a few songs for us.  Ike was standing by his buddy Grace and having a hard time keeping a singing face.

Thanksgiving with the Julson Crew

Ryan, Lindsay, Jace and Kade drove down from Basin to Erie to spend the week with us.  We were so busy and the kids all had a blast.  We went to the Nature and Science Museum in Denver, Open Play at Xtreme Gymnastics, the Erie park, WOW Children's Museum,  and to the movie The Good Dinosaur.

Via needs a princess room

When we moved to Texas right before Olivia was born we had no time to set up a cute nursery and she was baby number two so we knew she wouldn't care.  Her nursery was a crib and a rocker.  That is it!  Not one picture on the wall.  There was a large giraffe picture that managed to sit on her floor for two years.  It was leaned against the curtains to keep the room even darker.....  This brings us to today.  We are now settled into our Colorado home and Via is three years old.  I think this means it is about time for her to have real room.  I now know she is all things girly.  She loves pink and princesses.
It will be a slow process over the next few months, but I'm sure she will love it when it is all done (she already does!).  She was having a hard time moving into her bed and getting out of the crib.  Once I put up the bed rail she decided she could now sleep in her bed.  I also told her I would find her a fun new dresser once we were able to get the crib out of her room.  It took some looking but I found her the most adorable dresser!
