Elitch Gardens

It was the perfect morning to spend outside.  Sunny, no wind, and 70 degrees.  The last time I went to Elitches I was 20 years old and it was with Andrea.  Today Andrea and I took our kids. This was the first for my kids and we will definitely be going back a few more times this summer.

Their first ride.

Their first time on a roller coaster.  I thought Olivia would love it and Ike would be scared.  That is how it usually goes.  It turned out quite the opposite.  Olivia was crying to get off and Ike had the best time.

No clue who this guy is but he made it extra fun for Ike.

This was Ike's favorite ride.  He would have gone 20 times if we had time.

The ferris wheel.  Ike was not happy about getting on, but once he did he enjoyed and and was fine.

Our last ride for the day.  Three hours is long enough at an amusement park with these two for me.

Estes Park

We took a drive up the mountain on Friday to check out Estes Park.  We have been wanting to get there since moving back to CO but just hadn't made it yet.  It was worth the wait.  So beautiful!

We picked this Mexican Restaurant because it had balcony seating with a beautiful view.  That was about all it had going for it.  

The Stanley Hotel

We watched this guy make a beautiful glass candy dish.  

We went to check out The Stanley Hotel after walking though town.

To the right of this picture is a water fountain.  The kids saw some coins in it so I gave them one to make a wish.  Ike - I wish to be Batman! (Then throws penny)  Via - I wish I had a unicorn (then throws penny)......Fast forward to the next afternoon driving in the car.  Ike- Mom, that wishing well didn't work.  Me- Why do you say that?  Ike-  I am not Batman! Via-and I am not Wonder Women!  Me-Via you wished for a Unicorn.  Via-  Oh yeah..... I don't have a Unicorn!
