Happy Halloween!

This is mid October when we were all trying on our matching costumes!

We surprised the kids with them and they loved it!

October 27th Denny and I went to a friends house for a Murder Mystery Party. I was PI Pinkerson and Denny Sherrif Cameron. It was a good time!

Halloween Morning: Via started out the day as a bat for the school parade and classroom party.

Ike as Harry Potter at school.

The whole school, all 1000+ kids walked a lap around the track for the Halloween Parade.

Classroom Parties:  I am room mom for both classes this year.  It is proving to be pretty tricky.  I had to stay the majority of the time in 2nd grade with Ike.  There were more parent volunteers in Kinder so it was well covered.

Building haunted houses...

spider toss....

I was able to briefly step into Via's classroom. She was playing blow the spider across the table.

After school we had the neighborhood party at the Overlook.  Ike as Mario

Via the unicorn

Via with Amelia who is wearing Via's costume from last year.

After the Overlook party we headed home and got ready for trick or treating.  We walked around with Tanner and Amelia, Jace and Kylie.

Halloween wears me out!  I am so happy the kids had so much fun and such a great day.  Now, I am happy it was a success and is over.

Fall Break: Grand Junction 2018 Vaca

Friday: We made it over the mountain. Now time to try out the pool at our hotel, Residents Inn.

Next, out to dinner at Inari's in Palisade. It was one of our favorites when we lived here.

Then we stopped at Aunt Vinja's house. Every bit of her house and yard is art. The kids loved checking everything out.

Front yard....

Mermaid camper....

Treasure chest drawer..

Oven turned into it's own creation.

Back yard....

Saturday: First stop was meeting Jayme at Main Street Bagels for coffee. Then we went to Aunt Debbie's house for lunch and a visit.

They have a bird and it was a huge hit with Via. Ike was not as interested.

We had lunch and enjoyed catching up.

Via really wanted the bird to chill on her head, but the bird did not like that idea.

Then it was out to the Fruita Desert to visit the Garmanys who were camping out there. Ben and his friend Quin took Ike and Via off to explore. They had a blast and were covered in dirt by the time we left. It was really nice getting to chat with Tami and Rick while the kids played.

My kiddos with my other favorite kiddos! We loved getting to see Sam and Ben!

Sunday: We started the morning visiting Jayme and the boys while Denny biked over the Monument.

Then we headed to Derek, Meg and Rafa's house to celebrate Derek turning 33 and Rafa turning 3.

It is also Sterlings 1st birthday tomorrow.

We got Rafa his first scooter.

After the party we headed back to our hotel for some more swimming and supper.

This has been a great trip. The days were full but not rushed. We were able to spend a lot of time with some wonderful family and friends.  Until next time.......

Skateboarding

The boys on our street are becoming their own little skateboarding crew.  Ike has been asking for one for a few weeks so he join his buddies and yesterday that wish came true.

Baby steps.......Jace is already really good. Logan is also a beginner. I am thankful Ike is cautious and taking his time to get comfortable.  Via was at Girl Scouts so Kylie was hanging with just the boys.

Today Ike rode it all the way to the bus stop.  It took him awhile to get there but he made it.  He is getting braver by the day.

The boys at the bus stop.  Ike, Tanner and Jace

Denny couldn't resist jumping on when getting home from work last night.
