Jessie, Josh and Julia Blaydes in Erie

The kids had a lot of fun playing at WOW museum.

We had to have some calming activities for them to regroup.  Play Doh and painting worked pretty well.

Jessie, Denny, and I had a babysitter watch the kids Friday and Saturday night so that we could go out and enjoy and nice supper.  Friday we went to 24 Carrots in Erie, and Saturday we went to Oat at Fourteenth in Boulder.

Sunday afternoon Denny took on the task of watching all four while Jessie and I headed to Boulder.  Our first stop was Dushanbe Tea House.  Then we went to check out The Farm.

Monday we took the kids swimming at the Erie Community Center.

For our last evening in Colorado we went to Old Mine for pizza and beer.  Then we enjoyed some ice cream at Sweets.

The next morning we loaded all the kids in the mini van at 6 a.m and headed out on a road trip to Basin.  The kids ate snacks and watched movies.  We made several stops to stretch our legs.  They all asked if we were there yet many times but it went pretty well overall.

Thank you for the fun memories, Jessie!

June- We love Summer

We have been enjoying time in our neighborhood pool.

Ike has come SOO far in the last year when it comes to water.  He used to keep his head completely dry and a splash could cause a meltdown.  Now, after 10 months of swimming lessons, he is turning into a fish.  He will even let his swim teacher push him to the bottom of the pool to retrieve things.  Crazy!

First day of summer camp for both the kids.  It was two wonderful weeks.  M-F 9a.m. - 12:45 p.m.  I have not had that much kid free time in years and it was great!  It was at Wee School Preschool and Ike was excited to have his sister there with him. Olivia was always clingy at drop off and tired afterwords but it went pretty well.  I think she will do great there next year for preschool.

She was very emotional after her first day.  They are holding gas pumps that they made.

Driving the cool cars they made.

Sidewalk legal!

This was they day they both wanted to go in undershirts and yesterday hair.....whatever.

Olivia finished off her first experience with dance.

We were able to spend a few days with Gram and Gramps

Denny cleaning house on Father's Day.  Love this guy!

Sweet and adorable baby Rafa!

Girls day! Via had her very first mani/pedi!

Olivia also had her first painting pottery experience on our girls day with Maddie and Stacie.

And of course we had to check out the movie Finding Dory.

June has been a great start to our summer and we have so many more adventures ahead.  We love summer!

Big D and family were here.

Saturday: Day 1  We took a drive to Boulder. We walked down Pearl Street, watched street performers, and had lunch.

In the afternoon we went to the 80s band concert in the park in Erie.

Day 2: Sunday     WaterWorld here we come!

Ike and Via played in the pool for hours. It had a slide and small lazy river attached to it.

Elly and Via going down the slide.

Via taking a little warm up break.

Dave, Denny, Payton and I all went down this slide.

We came home and worked and played in the yard for awhile.

Day 3:  Monday (Memorial Day)      Ike and Via went to Nanna and Papa's house.  The rest of us enjoyed a nice walk down 16th street mall in Denver.  Then we headed to a Rockies game.

After the game we went to Dave and Busters for dinner and some games before picking up our kids.

Day 4: Tuesday     Elitch Gardens

Jody waiting for Dave, Payton and I to go on the big swing.

Next, it was off to The Post in Lafayette for dinner.

Day 5: Thursday      Denny and Dave went golfing in Lafayette and Jody the kids and I went to the Denver Zoo.

Olivia had Aunt Jody do her hair exactly like Elly's hair everyday.

We are so thankful the Julsons were able to come down for a visit.  We all had a wonderful time and can't wait to see you all again in a few weeks in the W.  Love you guys!
