4 1/2 months
Yesterday was Ike's 4 month appointment. He weighed 13.64 pounds and his length is 25 inches. He is getting longer, but he has only gained 1 1/2 pounds in the last two months. His head and length are in the 25th percentile just like at his two month appointment, but his weight went from 25th percentile to 10th. The doctor wants us to try using a hypoallergenic formula and some Zantac. He has never been a big fan of formula and we have tried a few different kinds but we have not had much luck. He will drink about 3 ounces just fine then he will fight us for the next hour to drink more. He just isn't getting enough calories and we don't know if it is because of reflux or what. We sure hope we can figure something out so the little guy will start gaining weight again.

ReplyDeleteYou are so precious. Looks like you really want to eat that ball. Soon you will be able to eat something solid, but for now, drink up your formula, so you get big & strong like you Daddy.

ReplyDeleteAh, he looks so cute. I would not worry much about the weight, I know Meg's cousin has similar concerns with her daughter not gaining weight, but she is doing well at 1.5 years, happy and healthy and a heckuva fun kid. I know Ikester will be the same. Keep looking cute Ike, and maybe eat some more too!
