This is our first real Fall in a few years and I am loving the cool mornings and evenings and the mildly warm days. The changing leaves are also something I missed. We have been very busy.
Soccer~ Oh what a not so fun experience this has been. Ike was begging to play soccer and has been asking for months! I finally agreed knowing this was probably not his sport, but he was going to have to realize that for himself. It is every Saturday morning 30 minutes of practice followed by 30 minutes of game. Practice seems to be a good time for him and he is generally happy up until about 10 minutes into the game. Then someone runs into him or he falls or he realizes he has not gotten anywhere near the ball in 10 minutes and it is time for a melt down. Ike is a sensitive little fella and doesn't like to get hurt and isn't fond of a lot of contact. I'm happy he got to try it out but I will be even more excited when it is all over.
Maddie's birthday party...
Via dressed herself and I didn't even notice the shoe situation until we were at the grocery store.
Ike with two of his pals at Preschool, John and Ty
Swimming lessons! It has been over a years since Ike's last lesson and this is a first for Via. Ike went right in and loves it. It took Olivia 3 sessions out of 6 to even get in the water. She is not afraid of water but is afraid of doing ANYTHING without me right next to her. Hopefully Ike decides to put his head in the water someday soon so they can stay in the same level.
Thursday evenings we go to the park for Mixed P.E. Ike loves it! It is a different sport each week and it is all "practice" style. Again, it took Olivia 3 sessions to get out on the field and even then she runs back to me (5 feet away) every few minutes.
They both don't fit in the wagon at the same time anymore. Works out well for me.....they just take turns pulling each other.
Last weekend we went to Grand Junction for Denny to do a bike ride over the Monument. It was a beautiful car ride both directions. My cell phone just doesn't do it justice.
Love seeing my precious grand babes doing their activities. So much Love
