Here is where things stand right now.....
Shamel is back in Georgia and no longer returning calls to the agency. Looks like this adoption is going to fail too. At this point we are thinking we don't want to be matched with a birth mother again any time soon. We don't know if we will adopt again.
To back up a bit....
Shamel went to Utah (at her request) the beginning of December. About 10 days after she got there her father became ill so she wanted to fly home to see him, so the agency flew her back to Georgia. While she was there the birth father of the baby she is carrying was killed. We were not given a lot of detail on any of this information. All we know right now is that it looks like we will not be adopting in the next few weeks like we had planned.
We will need to pray for the welfare of this baby. He/she would have had such a wonderful life with WONDERFUL parents, but now his/her life is uncertain. Feeling so blessed to have little Ike as our grandson. We can at this time continue to focus on him. Love you Vigils'

ReplyDeleteWell, I know that God has a plan and maybe there is a different route that will be taken!! I love you guys and everything will work itself out! You mean the world to me and I am blessed you are a big part of my life!! Also Look at the blessing you guys have, that alone is wonderful!! You guys are wonderful parents and I just know this will all work out!!!
